Fifth Disease


Fifth Disease (Erythema infectiosum):
  • Caused by parvovirus B19
  • Slapped-cheek rash over the cheeks
  • Maculopapular rash on the trunk and extremities 1-2 days later
  • Malaise
  • Low-grade fever
