Left Bundle Branch Block (LBBB)

Etiology:
It usually a sign of organic heart disease (hypertension, valvular disease, cardiomyopathy, CAD)

Signs and Symptoms:
Asymptomatic

ECG Findings:
  • QRS duration more than 120 msec
  • Wide QS complex in V1
  • Wide, tall R wave with no Q wave in V6

Treatments:
  • Often no specific treatments
  • Pacemaker may be used in post MI LBBB with conduction defects
