Scarlet Fever



Scarlet Fever:
  • Rash on the trunk as sandpaper-like
  • Strawberry tongue
  • Circumoral pallor
  • Most occurs in untreated streptococcal pharyngitis
  • Penicillin is drug of choice to prevent rheumatic fever
