Venticular Tachycardia

Venticular Tachycardia

Etiology:
It is associated with CAD and MI

Signs and Symptoms:

• Asymptomatic, or
• Palpitations
• Hypotension
• Angina
• Syncope
• Can progress to ventricular fibrillation

ECG Findings:

• Wide QRS complexes with regular rapid rhythm
• Three or more consecutive PVCs
• AV dissociation

Treatments:

• Cardioversion
• Antiarrhytmics: amiodarone, lidocaine, procainamide)
